Crossing any border in Iraq, Afghanistan or any other war zone constitutes active service as soon as you cross the border. You don’t have time to train with foreign weapons or tactical field firing in country therefore Ronin has constructed course ‘A’ that caters for students who are intent on employment in hostile environment. Our training strategies endeavour to maintain an effective balance between theoretical and practical training ensuring the development of a confident competent CP operator. This is achieved by the utilisation of skills learned on this course.

  • Comprehensive and innovative general Close Protection skills instruction both practical and theoretical. Skills and tactical procedures in line with SIA criteria in conjunction with realistic scenarios and practice.
  • Driver training. A good insight in to the preparation control and techniques of low profile tactical driving, vehicle escort, convoy and contact drills and vehicle recovery.
  • GPS land navigation. Extensive practice with top of the range GPS systems in the form of lectures and practical application.
  • Medical trauma management. A comprehensive medical package designed for CP operators working in hostile environments, the course is demanding and realistic. Skills included are triage assessment, control of bleeding, breaks/burns, defibrillation, airway control and many more aspects of first response. This course carries a level three protection medical supervisor close qualification in conjunction with HSE.
  • Surveillance/counter surveillance. Counter surveillance techniques are critical in the preemption of potentially lethal situations. Proactive measures to detect and counter surveillance are taught and practiced.
  • Foreign weapons training. Weapons covered in these periods are Chinese / Russian AK47, Glock19 and MP5 Kurtz. Strip and assembly and dry firing drills are practiced extensively
  • Full bore tactical field firing Field firing is carried out in the Czech Republic utilising an indoor pistol range and a unique omni directional drive in range where students having practiced contact drills extensively in Hereford now have the opportunity to practice live. Realistic battle handling lessons are practiced and tactical scenarios developed. Weapons covered during this period are the Glock 19 and CZ 75 pistols and the CZ 58 Rifle (Czech AK).

Field firing is carried out in the Czech Republic utilising an indoor pistol range and a unique omni directional drive in range where students having practiced contact drills extensively now have the opportunity to practice live. Realistic battle handling lessons are practiced and tactical scenarios developed. Weapons covered during this period are the Glock 19 and CZ 75 pistols and the CZ 58 Rifle (Czech AK).

Venues

All Ronin Concepts Security Elite Ltd courses are held at our own training facility. For the duration of the course students will live in comfortable residential type accommodation where all meals are included.  Two man rooms are provided however single rooms are available at an added cost and are limited and given on a first come first served basis. The last week of the hostile environment close protection course is held in the Czech Republic. Preparation and in country brief for the Czech phase is held in Hereford, England. A short flight to Prague sets the tone for your working adventure. Accommodation is a very comfortable travel Hostel meals included.

Other information

On successful completion of this close protection course the student is awarded a BTEC level 3 in close protection operations and a level 3 medical supervisor close protection.
